The pioneer of the 90 class had had better days when this picture was taken. It had become, no. 8701, during the reclassifcation of the East African Railways in the late 1960s and on December 3rd, 2008, still retained the Green and Yellow livery of the East African Railways including lettering.

The pages accessible from the menu options on the left show information of the current state of 12CSVT fitted locomotives, split into UK built and Australian built information. Two tables are shown, which derive from the original or last classifications of the locomotives.

The third option shows the status of ALL locomotives based on their original classfications only.
