The aim of the Plym Valley Railway is to re-build a one and a half mile section of the ex-Great Western branch line from Marsh Mills to Plym Bridge. The line used to run from Tavistock Junction, just outside of Plymouth, to Launceston. It is a heritage railway centre where we are preserving steam and diesel locomotives, carriages, wagons, and other historic railway artefacts to recreate the atmosphere of a bygone age

Directions by Road Situated on the outskirts of Plymouth, the railway is accessed via the A38 dual carriageway. At the Marsh Mills roundabout, head towards Plympton, which is below the A38, and follow the signs for the Coypool Park and Ride Car Park which is opposite the railway.
