Tyseley Locomotive Works
|
|
Tyseley Locomotive Works is the engineering subsidiary of the Birmingham Railway Museum Trust - a registered educational charity. The Trust was established to preserve and demonstrate the steam locomotives in the Tyseley collection. And where better than on the main line - where they were designed to operate!
Tyseley Locomotive Works has a well equipped workshop, which restores, maintains and services steam (plus classic diesel & electric) locomotives and coaches to Network Rail standards.
Locomotives and other rolling stock are restored, maintained and serviced on the site of the former Great Western locomotive depot & works at Tyseley.
Directions by Road | If travelling via the Motorway system an easy route is to leave the M42 at junction 5 and follow the A41 towards Birmingham (follow signs to Birmingham Railway Museum or Tyseley Locomotive Works). |
